- I like to go home to Florida when I can but, the flights are so expensive and it takes up so much time.
The Royal Pines hotel in Wakayama really reminds me of Florida or the Mediterranean (with better views!) so it is a quick and cheap alternative.
Wait until you see the bathrooms!

A friend of mine introduced me to the hotel as a diversion to my business trip to Osaka.
The Wakayama Marina City Royal Pines Hotel is in a beautifull and scenic location along the Japan sea side. The hotel rooms provide gorgeous scenic views of the Marina and ocean backed up five star resort dining and service!
I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant, Carlo E Carla. My wife and I savoured the authentic Medeterranian atmosphere, fine cuisine, excellent service and a bottle of select red Italian wine.
The Royal Pines Wakayama Marina City is a first class hotel and a great get away for those of you looking to discover the Kansai area and surroundings. I highly recommend it for couples and families.

最初に私を感動させたのはホテルの明るい黄色でした。日本ではめずらしい宮殿のようなヨーロッパの別荘風の外観です。
黄色の壁は深い緑のきれいに刈り込まれた芝生と美しいコントラストを醸し出しています。つけ加えてホテルはまさしく水の上にあり部屋からはマリーナと海を見下ろせます。私は
部屋のベランダに座って海に沈む夕陽を見ながらワインを飲むのが大好きです。
ホテルの中のお気に入りは大きなプール。これは関西の他のホテルにはない特徴。プールからマリーナを見渡せ、バーではアルコールやソフトドリンクや軽食を提供しています。ロッカーや
シャワールームも使いやすくてGOOD！
私は大阪に住んでいて夏は暑くてジメジメするので夏になると、いつも数日は海に逃げたくなる。ロイヤルパインズホテルは和歌山市街からバスに乗ってすぐのとても海に近いリゾートです。
ホテルは大きな海水浴場もタクシーですぐのところにあり、遥か遠方の白浜と同じくらい良いです。ロイヤルパインズホテルの部屋は大きくてウエスタンスタイルのバスタブがあります。
バスルームからは海が眺められバスタブの中でリラックスできます。
次にベランダからハーバーに沈む夕陽を見た後に、プールサイドのバーベキューの夕食。隣に遊園地があるにも関わらず
ホテル周辺はとても静かです。夜は特に。平和と静けさは日々の忙しい生活を忘れさせてくれます。
朝食はブッフェをレストランのテラス席で楽しみました。帰る前にはプールで午後のひとときを楽しめました。さらに何を求めることができるだろうか！
- Q.What was the opportunity come to this hotel?
A.I chose this hotel for a short summer getaway because of
its Western flavor, large pool, ocean views and proximity
to the beach.
Q. If you have a restrant in this hotel, please fill it about atmosphere and taste.
A.I love the pool-side barbecue with the all you can drink
menu. The variety and amount of food as well as the
outdoor location make it worth splurging on.
Q.Do you have any impression, during your stay?
A.Royal Pines is my favorite hotel in Japan! What first
impressed me was the bright yellow color of the hotel.
It's very unusual in Japan and it gives the appearance of
a palatial European villa. The yellow walls of the hotel
are contrasted beautifully by the deep green color of the
well manicured lawn surrounding the hotel. In addition the
hotel sits right on the water and the rooms have a
magnificent view overlooking the marina and the ocean. I
love sitting on the large veranda and enjoying a glass of
wine as i watch the sun set into the sea.
Q.What is your favorite place, Scenery and service during
your stay?
A.For me one of the main attractions of the hotel is its
large outdoor swimming pool. This is a feature not offered
at many other resort hotels in Kansai. The pool looks out
over the marina and offers a snack bar serving alcohol,
soft drinks and a small selection of freshly prepared
dishes. Lockers and shower facilities are conveniently
available as well.
Q.What is your recommend about this hotel?
A.I live in Osaka, a city renown for its scorchingly hot
and sticky summers, and in the summer I always feel the
need to escape to the beach for a couple of days. The
Royal Pines is a short bus ride from Wakayama City, much
closer than any other seaside resort. The hotel is a short
taxi ride from a large public beach area, which is every
bit as nice as the much more distant Shirahama. After
arriving at the hotel, I spend the day tanning on the
beach and frolicking in the surf. Then I come back to my
room where I enjoy a soothing bath. The rooms at the Royal
Pines feature large, deep Western-style bathtubs. There's
also a window in the bathroom which allows you to look out
at the ocean while you relax in the tub! Next I watch the
sunset on the large veranda overlooking the harbor, then
head out to the poolside for an open-air barbecue dinner.
Despite the neighboring amusement park, the area around
the hotel is extremely quiet, especially at night. The
peace and quiet are a welcome respite from my busy life in
the city. After a refreshing night's sleep I head down to
the restaurant and sit outside as I enjoy the buffet
breakfast. I then spend the afternoon relaxing and
swimming in the pool before heading back to the city. What
more could you ask for?
